The root is a support for a new restoration or crown. In the roots of some teeth, there may be 2-3 wide main channels and 2-3 thin, almost invisible ones. The infection can affect both large and small channels. Remaining in the tooth, it provokes inflammation, which leads to the formation of cysts and granulomas.
The oral cavity is examined using a special intraoral video camera. The image is displayed on the screen, and even hard-to-reach areas are well visualized.
Before treatment, application anesthesia is applied, analgesic injection, and infiltration anesthesia (the device controls the injection of anesthetic throughout the procedure). Thus, all stages of treatment are pain-free.
It is almost impossible to find thin channels without a microscope. We use "Leica MicroSystems" - the multi-zoom technology makes it possible to see absolutely all channels, even the narrowest and most tortuous ones.
Canal treatment is performed after an X-ray examination. Our specialists use a special X-ray system "ORTOPHUS XG 3D", which allows you to get accurate diagnostic data on the length of the channels, an orthopantomogram or a computed tomogram, on the basis of which a decision on treatment is made.

After anesthesia, the tooth is isolated with a rabberdam (latex "veil" to protect the patient). The doctor removes the filling (if any), and removes the infected filling material from the dental canals with nickel-titanium tools. It also flushes the channels with an ultrasound-activated disinfectant solution.
